Gutters with Lionheart Roofing Contractors

Gutters do a quiet but important job: they collect the water coming off your roof and send it away from the house. When they clog, sag or pull away from the fascia, water spills over the edge, soaks the siding, rots the fascia boards and pools along the foundation, where it can find its way into a basement or crawl space.

Gutter work ranges from resealing leaking joints and re-hanging sagging sections to replacing the whole system. New gutters are sized to the roof, pitched toward the downspouts, and paired with downspouts and extensions that release the water well away from the foundation.

How it works

From first call to finished job

  1. Step 1

    Tell us what's going on

Call or send a request with your address and what you're seeing: a leak, missing shingles, hail damage or just an old roof. Photos help if you have them.

  2. Step 2

    Roof inspection

The shingles, flashing, vents, pipe boots and gutters are checked, along with the attic or ceiling where water shows up, to find the cause and not just the stain.

  3. Step 3

    A clear quote

You get a quote that spells out the scope of work and the materials, with options when there's more than one sensible way to fix the roof.

  4. Step 4

    The work and the cleanup

The job is scheduled around the weather and your calendar. When it's done, the site is cleaned up, nails and debris included, and the finished work is walked through with you.

What's included

Gutters: what we handle

  • Signs of gutter trouble: Water spilling over the edge in rain, sagging sections, gutters pulling away from the house, stains on the siding and puddles along the foundation.
  • New gutters: Seamless aluminum gutters formed to the length of each run, so there are fewer joints to leak.
  • Downspouts and extensions: Downspouts placed to drain each section of roof, with extensions or splash blocks that carry water a few feet away from the foundation.
  • Gutter guards: Screens or covers that keep leaves and needles out, cutting down on clogs and cleanings.
  • Repairs: Leaking seams resealed, sagging sections re-hung with new hangers, and damaged pieces replaced.
  • Fascia and roof edge: Rotted fascia boards behind the gutters repaired, and drip edge checked so water ends up in the gutter, not behind it.

What clients say

5.0

“James and his crew at Lionheart did an AMAZING job. I learned through this process that their are roofting contractors that can't be trusted and who will cut corners to save money and time. Not the case with James and his crew... They were thorough and trustworthy. James held off the job for the right time of year and weather to ensure proper adherence of the product, which looks awesome btw. Lionheart uses a netting system to prevent nails and debri from damaging the house or landscaping during demo. (…)”

“WOW! I really can't say enough and be complimentary enough about the whole process with Lionheart. From the initial discussion phase to the quote to the scheduling and completion of the work this has been an outstanding experience for us at our new build North of New Meadows. This is a really professional outfit and clearly know their business and care about their work. This was a fairly big job and quite some distance from their home base and once it was scheduled they got it all done in record time and it looks great!”

Doug Gober

“Very professional. Hard working. Great crew friendly. Left the work area cleaner than when the xame!!”

FAQ

Gutters: common questions

Why do my gutters overflow even when they're clean?

They may be too small for the roof area that drains into them, sloped the wrong way, or short on downspouts. Long runs and steep roofs push a lot of water into a gutter at once. Larger gutters, an extra downspout or correcting the slope usually solves it.

Are gutter guards worth it?

If your home is near trees, they usually cut down on cleaning and clogs. No guard is maintenance-free: fine debris and pine needles can still collect on top, so they need an occasional check. They make the most sense where gutters clog several times a year.

Should gutters be replaced with a new roof?

Not always, but it's a good time to look at them. If the gutters are old, undersized or damaged, replacing them with the roof lets the drip edge, fascia and gutters be fitted together. If they're in good shape, they can stay.
